The Beginning – How It All Started (1996-2005)

That’s exactly why we started Truck Outfitters back in 1996. We saw too many truck owners struggling to find the right accessories, quality installations, and honest service. So, we decided to fix that.
In the early days, we were a small but mighty team of six, working six days a week in West Bend, Wisconsin. It wasn’t glamorous; long hours, grease-covered hands, and a whole lot of problem-solving. But we knew one thing: when a truck rolls into our shop, it should leave better than it came in.
Fast forward to 2005, and things got official – we became Truck Outfitters, L.L.C.. We weren’t just some local shop anymore. We were building a reputation. The word was out. If you needed truck accessories done right, you came to us.
Bigger, Better, and a New Home (2016)
Now, if you’ve ever tried squeezing way too many truck accessories into a small space, you know it’s only a matter of time before things get out of control. That’s exactly what happened to us. We had outgrown our original space, and our customers deserved better.
So, in January 2016, we made the move to 1325 S. Main St. in West Bend. You might remember it as the old Verlo Mattress store, but we quickly turned it into a truck-lover’s paradise.
The move wasn’t just about getting more space (though, let’s be honest, that helped a lot). We wanted to be easier to find, more convenient, and able to offer an even better customer experience. And that’s exactly what we did.
But we weren’t ready to say goodbye to our old space just yet. We kept it for storage and installations, because when you have access to over 50,000 truck parts, you need somewhere to put them.
